The Blue Dress

blue dress

This blue dress is one of my most treasured thrift finds. I found this beauty a few years ago for under $3.00! It has a vintage flair but is a timeless piece. It’s also extremely comfortable. I even wore it while I was pregnant with my daughter. The bonus is that it is one of my favorite colors for clothing- cobalt blue.

One of the advantages of selecting a solid print dress is that the accessory options are pretty much endless. In this particular instance cobalt blue pairs well with almost any color and print. I especially like to pair cobalt blue with leopard print. I typically wear this dress to church but have also worn it to a weekend brunch as well. It is A-line and forgiving for virtually any shape. The fabric is a cotton blend, lightweight, and a midi length. This dress is also transferable to all seasons.

For today’s post, I am wearing a monochromatic look with blue pumps, with a splash of pop with a lime green bag. There is no need for a necklace with this particular neckline, it would be too much and clash. I am all about making a statement with my outfits, but that statement needs to be a cohesive one, not a chaotic one. Not wearing a necklace is the perfect time to wear over sized earrings.

I hope you enjoyed reading today’s post.
