Hello Darlings!
The feature of today’s post is this red, pink, and brown floral button down shirt. My love affair with florals is a fairly new one. Before, I felt they were too “girly”, but now I can’t get enough of them. I can only attribute this new fondness to my love of all things vintage and mixed prints. This particular floral print is a small print with neutral undertones. There are a number of style options that one can go with. I always have a mental picture of how I will style an item multiple ways before I make the purchase. Even, if that includes me making additional purchases. There is always a game plan. I find that this helps me to not clothing or money by purchasing something that looks cute, but I have no idea how to wear it. I’m speaking from experience, as I have not always shopped this way. Thank God for my evolved shopping routine! LOL
In look #1 I styled the shirt with red skinny jeans, a cream blazer, and cognac ballet flats. I also chose stud earrings and a long, but simple necklace as my accessories. This is probably my favorite look in this post. I wore this outfit to a natural hair workshop recently. It’s casual without being overly casual. This look could also work for a casual Friday at the office.
In look #2 I wore the shirt with a tan sweater, black leather skirt, and strappy black sandals. The sweater has a large S on the front, which compliments perfectly with the floral pattern, without being too matchy-matchy. The midi skirt and sandals dress the look up a bit. And, last, but not least the yellow envelope clutch gives the look a pop.
Look #3 is a casual one. I wore the shirt on top of a navy sweater dress. It’s a relaxed look that is also comfortable with ballet flats.

The floral and leather look is my favorite here! It’s like Spring telling Winter “I got it from here.””
Bye,bye Winter! ✌
